2025 Smith Point Lifeguard Hall of Fame Presented to Michael Brocki

Michael Brocki’s induction into the Smith Point Lifeguard Hall of Fame honors a career defined by excellence, consistency, and lifesaving dedication. A standout Division 1 collegiate swimmer at the University of Connecticut, Michael’s speed and endurance translated seamlessly to the beach. He held the Suffolk County record in the 200-yard freestyle for an impressive 10 years, a testament to his elite athletic ability. Michael is an 8-time Long Island Champion and a 2-time National Landline Champion, known for his strength and precision in high-stakes rescue events. Remarkably, he was a National Landline Finalist ten years in a row—demonstrating both dominance and longevity in competition. More importantly, over his 13-year tenure as a lifeguard, he maintained a perfect record with zero drownings under his watch. Michael’s commitment to safety, performance, and leadership has left a lasting mark on the Smith Point lifeguard community and beyond.
