2008 Jack “Rambo” Vivonetto

Jack Andrew Vivonetto is a proud native of Rocky Point, Long Island. Jack grew up playing football, wrestling, and lacrosse. He was the 2008 and 2009 captain of the Hofstra Men’s Lacrosse Team, where Jack also attained a degree in History.

Jack lists some of his fondest moments as a Smith Point lifeguard, while forging the greatest friendships. His time on this exemplary crew has prepared him for some of the most challenging arenas a man may face.

He believes in his awesome teammates, and honors their patriotism, tradition, and sacrifice as Smith Point Lifeguards.

Smith Point Rookie of the Year -Brett Miller

Brett Miller graduated from Shorham/Wading River High School in June of 2010. He is planning to attend C.W. Post and play lacrosse for the Pioneers. Brett aspires to be a physical education teacher. Brett says: ” I am planning on teaching during the school year and lifeguarding at Smith Point during the summer.”

Brett has been a Smith Point Lifeguard since June of 2008. He is the second of seven children, and that made Brett a very competitive young guard. His brother Jack, also a Smith Point Lifeguard, continues to serve as a great role model. Brett is a very athletic, dedicated young individual that loves to compete, help others and assure all patrons at Smith Point Beach that they will have a great day, every day.
