Swimming with Autism at Meschutt Beach
Meschutt Beach was filled with smiles as the Meschutt Lifeguards joined the Southampton Village Lifeguards to host a special swimming event for Luv Michael and the crew. The program gave individuals with autism the chance to enjoy the water in a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment.
Lifeguards worked together to build confidence, teach basic water skills, and made sure everyone had a fun and memorable experience. Their teamwork showed how important patience, kindness, and inclusion are in helping every beach goer succeed.
A special thank you goes to Emily Laurie, Captain Paul Schmidt, and Suffolk County for their support in making this event possible.
Events like this builds confidence, promotes water safety, and brings people together.
