Outer Beach rescue response, saves three
At approximately 3:00 p.m., a beachgoer ran to the lifeguard stand and reported that three people were caught in a strong rip current about a half mile east of the main lifeguard stand. Lifeguards responded immediately using the 4×4 rescue vehicle. Once they arrived, they quickly jumped out, ran into the surf, and rescued all three victims.
Their fast response and teamwork prevented what could have been a tragic situation.
Remember: Always swim near a lifeguard. It could save your life.
