2025 Smith Point Lifeguard Hall of Fame Presented to Kevin Konarski
Kevin Konarski’s induction into the Smith Point Lifeguard Hall of Fame recognizes a career marked by leadership, athletic excellence, and a steadfast commitment to public safety. A 4-time High School County Swim Champion and 4-time All-State Swimmer, Kevin brought elite talent to every level of competition. As a Division 1 swimmer and team captain at the University of Connecticut, he led by example—both in the pool and on the beach. Kevin is a 7-time Long Island Champion and the 2015 National Landline Champion, proving himself as one of the most reliable and skilled lifesavers in the nation. His consistency and calm under pressure helped him maintain a perfect safety record, with zero drownings during his 14-year tenure as a lifeguard. Kevin’s dedication to the Smith Point community and to the lifesaving profession has earned him a well-deserved place among the elite in the Smith Point Lifeguard Hall of Fame.
