Junior Lifeguards 2023, week #4

This was our fourth and final week of Junior Lifeguard training. The surf was moderate with occasional 3-4 foot shore break. Our juniors did well and learned the basics of a double yoke rescue. As always, our goal is to educate our Suffolk County Patrons and youth about ocean safety. Through ocean training, interaction and exploration, the Smith Point Junior Lifeguards gain: development of confidence, mental and physical fitness and respect for one another and the coastal environment.
