Tim said that: “Smith Point made me want to turn lifesaving into a career.”

Sayville Born and Raised, Tim graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a bachelors degree in Communications. Additionally, Tim was named 2020 SUNY New Paltz Swim team Captain by his teammates.

Over the course of his Swimming career at SUNY New Paltz, Tim was a 3X SUNYAC Finalist in the, 100 Freestyle, 100 Butterfly, 800 Freestyle Relay.

(Inspired to join the Airforce from other Smith Point Lifeguards) Apart from that, Tim is currently in the United States Air Force training to become an Aerospace Medical Technician. His future plans are to join the FDNY after Air-Force training. Stetcher is also a New York State EMT.

After joining the landline team with Levisauskas, Borkowski and Pikulik, Tim fell in love with competing for Smith Point. Pretty soon he was able to amass several awards and accolades; 3X Nationals Finalist, 2 Landline and 1 in Rescue Race.

Over his lifeguard tenure Tim has had over 100+ Career Rescues at Smith Point! Tim said: “I grew up at Smith Point, it gave me life long friends. The beach brought out the best in me, It taught me hard work triumphs over talent, team work beats out individualism and consistency is key. It takes every single one of our Lifeguards working as one unit in order to keep our zero drowning record going.”

Congratulations Tim, well deserved!
