2020 Michael Hartman

Michael Hartman is a William Floyd alumni. He was a league 1 champion wrestler at 140lbs. He grew up going to Smith Point and started lifeguarding in 2010.
He graduated from St. Josephs College with a degree in Biology. He then joined the New York Air National guard after being inspired by a fellow lifeguard to pursue a career in Pararescue.
Mike successfully completed the rigorous 2 year Pararescue pipeline and became a Pararescueman in 2015. In 2017 he was awarded the New York Air National Guard Airman of the Year.
Mike enjoyed high surf during hurricane seasons at Smith Point. Because of his summers lifeguarding at Smith Point, he chose a career in rescue. He now works full time as a year round lifeguard in Florida and part time Pararescueman with the Guard.

Congratulations Hartman!
