2016 USLA National Lifeguard Championship

If you were unable to go to California, this year the 2016 USLA National Lifeguard Championship (8/11/16 8/13/16) is held at Hermosa Beach Pier. Several teams including Smith Point, Long Beach LI, LA County & Cal State and many others will be competing against each other for the National Title. This year the competition will feature an Australian contingent and an all female team in the competition. 4 swimmers, 4 Paddlers and 4 dory teams race for the title!

Smith Point Update Day 1
-All landline teams are in the finals, 3 in A final, 1 in B final
-Both women’s rescue races are in the final A
-Both women’s paddle board pick ups are in the final A and final B
-Men’s taplin and both women’s taplin relays are in the final
-Men’s paddle pick up is in the B final
-Flag Finals; Maltz, Appel, Thibodeau, Triani
-Flags Age Finals: Seniors 30-34 Thibodeau 3rd place
-Flags Age Finals: Seniors 35-39 Hoagland 3rd place
-Flags Age Finals: Masters 60-69 T. Delaney – National Champion
