Outer Beach Rescue Response
Smith Point Lifeguards and “Mastic Beach Fire department responded to assist in a water rescue alarm on Smith Point outer beach this afternoon.
This was a multi agency response consisting of The Suffolk County Aviation and Marine units, Suffolk County Parks police, Smith Point County Park Lifeguards and emergency medical technicians, Mastic Beach Fd,Mastic Fd, Brookhaven Fd, and Mastic Beach ambulance . Two crew members from the Mastic Beach Fire Department entered the water to assist the lifeguards as needed. No medical attention was needed by the distressed swimmer.”
