2014 All Women Sandy Hook Lifeguard Competition

On July 30th, the girls competed in the All-Girls Sandy Hook Lifeguard Competition. The girls came in 4th place overall, beating teams from all over the east coast with over 200 competitors entered into the competition.

The girls were paced by strong finishes in the 2k, with Molly Schaefer, Mackenzie Coleman, Nicole LoMeli, and Sandi Woodhead coming in 3rd place, 10th place, 11th place, and 16th place respectively. Sandi Woodhead also came in 2nd place in beach flags, going up against some of the best competition in the nation. The 4×100 team of Christa Narus, Nicole LoMeli, Sandi Woodhead, and Cassie Dooley also finished in 5th place.

The girls also were led by Christa Narus, Ann Fici, Mackenzie Coleman, and Julia Horan who all placed in the top 10 in the run-swim-run out of 78 competitors.

The trio of Julia Horan, Mackenzie Coleman, and Ann Fici came away with a second place finish in the run-swim-run relay.

Julia Horan and Ann Fici had a 2nd place finish in the rescue race.

Christa Narus also placed 10th in the grueling iron woman event, comprised of a run, swim, and paddle.
