Crafts Fair Regionals: Long Branch, New Jersey
Tournament season is upon us! With two wins in the East Hampton and Regional tournaments, Smith Point is starting it with a bang. Our lifeguards are showing their dedication and passion in their training, as the Point is looking for yet another successful season.
Matt Pluhowski joined our Smith Point Lifeguards in June of 2010 and it was quickly evident that he loves to protect and serve the Suffolk County Public. He is sharp, quick off the tower and has great water safety skills. Because of his good nature and work ethic, Matt Pluhowski in the summer of 2010, has been selected as the Rookie of the Year for Smith Point Lifeguards.
Matt recently competed in the Crafts Fair Regionals held in Long Branch, New Jersey. He participated in the surfboard paddle, finishing in 11th place, and placed 3rd in the open surf ski battling chest high barreling waves.
Matt is paving the way for our younger lifeguards competing in surf skis and surfboards.
