2011 Brendan Tyson

Brendan Tyson graduated from Center Moriches High School in June of 2007 and attended Oneonta State University. Brendan wrestled for two years, while attending Oneonta State University. He joined the Smith Point Lifeguards in June of 2005.

Over the past 7 years, he has been a role model and a great lifesaver at Suffolk County Parks with over 150 rescues under his belt! He loves everything about Smith Point Lifeguards and what it stands for. Currently, he is pursuing a spot on a Pararescue team, part of the United States Air Force.

Smith Point Rookie of the Year

Nick Tyson lives in Center Moriches and currently attends Center Moriches H.S. He plays soccer in the fall, wrestles in the winter and plays baseball in the spring. After graduating, Nick is planning on attending college to become a teacher. He hopes to be a Smith Point Lifeguard for for many years to come.

Nick joined the Smith Point Lifeguards in June of 2011 and it was immediately clear that he loves to look after and serve the Suffolk County Public coming to the beach. Nick exhibits great diligence, support and respect.

Nick Tyson has been selected as the Rookie of the Year for Smith Point Lifeguards.
