July 4th – Breakfast, Recognition Ceremony and Team Photo
As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, our lifeguards came together for the 3rd Annual July 4th Lifeguard Breakfast, Recognition Ceremony, and Team Photo. It was a great morning of camaraderie, appreciation, and tradition—and, of course, you can never go wrong with a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich (or a sausage, egg, and cheese) to start the day!
Congratulations to Katie, Dylan, Max, Patrick, and Essek on receiving their 10-Year Service Coin. Kudos to Alex for earning his 20-Year Service Coin. We also extend our congratulations to Richie, Chris, Eddie, and Mariusz, who earned their 30-Year Service Coin. Finally, we proudly pay tribute to Marty on receiving his remarkable 40-Year Service Coin, recognizing four decades of dedication and the extraordinary achievement of maintaining zero drownings under his tenure.

Together, these outstanding lifeguards represent an incredible 230 combined years of dedicated service to the Suffolk County Parks Department. Their commitment, professionalism, and dedication to public safety have helped protect countless visitors while continuing a proud tradition of zero drownings under tenure. Congratulations!
