Memorial Day Weekend 2025!

Memorial Day Weekend is a special time in the United States when people remember and honor those who died while serving in the military. It started after the Civil War and was first called Decoration Day, because people would decorate soldiers’ graves with flowers. In 1971, it became a national holiday and is now held on the last Monday of May.
Over the years, Memorial Day has become both a time for remembering and a way to enjoy the beginning of summer. Many towns hold parades, and people visit cemeteries to place flags and flowers on the graves of fallen heroes. It’s also a time for families and friends to gather for barbecues, picnics, and fun in the sun.
Whether you’re watching a parade, relaxing at the beach, or just spending time with loved ones, Memorial Day is a mix of honor and happiness. It helps us remember the brave people who gave their lives for our country, while also giving us a chance to be thankful and enjoy life. As the weekend ends, many people feel both proud and thankful—grateful for the past, and hopeful for the future.
