Lifeguards respond to a boater in distress
At approximately 2:30 PM, a call came over the radio of a boater in distress at west breach (~ 2 miles plus west of Smith Point), part of FINS. Smith Point guards responded (via wave-runner and ’gator’) along with Park Rangers and SC PD. No one was hurt.
