First ever MOA approved

The Smith Point Lifeguard Association negotiated a one-year deal with Suffolk County Administration to raise average hourly pay. Our union represents approximately over 100 lifeguards at all three Suffolk County beaches; Smith Point, Cupsogue and Meschutt. We are happy to announce that this deal will put our lifeguard compensation more on par with that of State Ocean lifeguards.

This one year deal, is a great step going forward. The union is seeking to negotiate a long-term deal with the Bellone Administration.

Salary Schedule as of 6/7/2021

OCEAN GUARD I: $17.15

OCEAN GUARD II: $17.75

OCEAN GUARD III: $19.25

OCEAN GUARD IV: $20.50

OCEAN GUARD V: $21.50

STILL WATER GUARD I: $16.25

STILL WATER GUARD II: $16.50

STILL WATER GUARD III: $17.00
