Deceased minke whale found in East Hampton
Atlantic Marine Conservation Society is currently responding to a deceased minke whale in East Hampton. The whale had been reported initially as alive and in poor condition, but the animal died shortly before the team arrived on scene.
We are working with East Hampton Town Marine Patrol, NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, and NOAA Fisheries New England/Mid-Atlantic to plan for a necropsy examination. Stay tuned for updates.
