Anthony Leone – Class of 2004 –

Bellator has just announced the late change to the Bantamweight Title fight.

As Silva pulls out injured – Phuket Top Team‘s Anthony Leone has been named as the late replacement to take on current Bellator champion Eduardo Dantas.

2 young fighters (Dantas 25 and Leone 26) will be fighting for the Bantamweight Championship title as soon as March 7th.

Dantas is the Nova Uniao fighter who has won 8 of his last 9 with the one loss being a KO via Tyson Nam. Leone is the Phuket Top Team fighter who has gone 3 from 4 inside the Bellator cage – with recent wins over Zack Makovsky & Frank Baca. His loss being to Rafael Silva via decision.

Leone took the fight with 4 weeks notice, he will fly out from his home gym in Phuket – Thailand at PTT, begin media and short fight camp as he prepares to take on Dantas for the title.

Leone on hearing the news said:

“Im excited about this fight, i have thought about fighting Dantas and in the past and ive always wanted this fight. I think i have the tools to beat Dantas and i think i can take the Bellator title back to Thailand”
