D.J. Simonton (Class of 1990) inducted into Smith Point Hall of Fame

D.J. Simonton started his ocean lifeguard career in 1989 at Smith Point Park, under the Legendary Joseph W. Dooley. During his tenure, as a Senior Lifeguard, Mr. Simonton maintained the outstanding record of “0” drownings. DJ as one of the country’s top beach flaggers and a sprinter has led the Smith Point team to numerous Local, Regional and 7 National Titles.
