Junior Lifeguards 2025, week # 4

This Sunday was the final session of our Junior Lifeguard educational program, and it was packed with fun and learning. On the ocean front, our juniors showed off the skills they’ve learned all summer. They practiced tower entries, log rolling, paddle board pick-ups, and the always-exciting beach flags. The biggest highlight was the boys vs. girls tug of war, which brought tons of laughs and cheers. Everyone gave it their all, and it was great to see such strong teamwork and spirit from both sides.
Over on the bay side, our juniors focused on rescue techniques. They practiced double yoke rescues, landline pulls, and flat tow scenarios. These drills are important because they teach how to help swimmers in trouble safely and quickly. All of the juniors worked hard and supported each other, just like real lifeguards do.
We are so proud of every junior lifeguard who joined us this summer. From learning safety skills to building confidence in the water, each one of them made huge progress. We hope they had fun, made new friends, and feel proud of what they accomplished. Great job, juniors—and we hope that you all enjoyed our chocolate chip cookies.
… and remember, always swim near a lifeguard!
