Hurricane Cat 5 Humberto

As of 5 AM AST on October 1, 2025, Hurricane Humberto is located about 280 miles north-northwest of Bermuda, moving northeast at 14 mph with sustained winds of 80 mph. Although slight weakening is expected, Humberto will remain strong until it merges with a frontal boundary tonight. The storm poses no direct threat to land, with no coastal watches or warnings in effect. However, dangerous surf and life-threatening rip currents will continue along the U.S. East Coast, northern Caribbean, Bahamas, and Bermuda for several days. Gusty winds may still affect Bermuda this morning. The next advisory is due at 11 AM AST.



As of 11:00 PM AST on September 29, 2025, Hurricane Humberto, a Category 3 storm with sustained winds of 115 mph, is located 265 miles southwest of Bermuda and moving north-northwest at 14 mph. It is expected to turn north, then northeast, passing west and north of Bermuda Tuesday and Wednesday. Though no watches or warnings are in effect, gusty winds and 1–2 inches of rain are expected in Bermuda. Dangerous surf and life-threatening rip currents are forecast across Bermuda, the northern Caribbean, the Bahamas, and the U.S. East Coast through the week. Humberto may become extratropical in a few days.



As of 11 PM AST on September 28th, Hurricane Humberto, a Category 4 storm with sustained winds of 140 mph (220 km/h), is located about 400 miles south-southwest of Bermuda, moving northwest at 14 mph. A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect for Bermuda, with tropical storm conditions possible by early Tuesday. Humberto is expected to pass west and then north of Bermuda before turning east-northeast. Dangerous surf and rip currents will impact Bermuda, the northern Caribbean, and the U.S. East Coast this week. Rainfall of 1–2 inches is expected in Bermuda. Although weakening is forecast midweek, Humberto will remain a dangerous hurricane for the next few days.



Hurricane Humberto, a dangerous Category 5 storm with sustained winds of 160 mph, is moving west-northwest at 13 mph over the southwestern subtropical Atlantic. As of 11 PM AST on September 27, 2025, it is located about 585 miles south of Bermuda. No watches or warnings are currently in effect, but Bermuda may be impacted and should stay alert. Humberto is expected to turn north-northwest Monday and pass west of Bermuda by Tuesday evening. Swells from the hurricane will affect the northern Leeward Islands, Puerto Rico, Bermuda, and the U.S. East Coast, posing life-threatening surf and rip current risks.



As of 11:00 PM AST on September 26, 2025, Hurricane Humberto has rapidly intensified into a powerful Category 4 hurricane in the central Atlantic. With maximum sustained winds of 145 mph and a central pressure of 940 mb, it is located about 390 miles northeast of the northern Leeward Islands, moving west at 7 mph. No coastal watches or warnings are in effect. However, swells generated by Humberto will begin affecting the northern Leeward Islands, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and Bermuda this weekend, creating life-threatening surf and rip currents. Further strengthening is expected as the storm shifts northwest by Monday.



Tropical Storm Humberto continues strengthening over the central Atlantic and is expected to become a hurricane by Friday and a major hurricane this weekend. As of 11:00 PM AST on September 25, 2025, Humberto was located at 22.2°N, 57.1°W, about 475 miles northeast of the northern Leeward Islands, moving northwest at 3 mph. Maximum sustained winds are near 65 mph with higher gusts, and tropical-storm-force winds extend up to 90 miles from the center. The storm’s central pressure is 998 mb. No coastal watches or warnings are in effect, and Humberto poses no immediate threat to land at this time.
