The 2026 East Hampton Main Beach Lifeguard Tournament is scheduled for:

• Date: Thursday, July 23, 2026
• Location: Main Beach, East Hampton, New York
• Host: The Hampton Lifeguard Association

The tournament is one of Long Island’s premier lifeguard competitions and typically features teams from:

• Smith Point
• East Hampton
• Jones Beach
• Fire Island
• Long Beach
• Southampton
• Town of Hempstead
• Westhampton
• Other regional ocean lifeguard agencies.

Competitors test their lifesaving skills and athletic ability in events such as:

• 2K beach run
• Distance swim
• Beach flags
• Run-Swim-Run
• Rescue board race
• Landline rescue
• Relay events

The East Hampton tournament serves as a major tune-up before the Long Island Lifeguard Championship at Smith Point later in July and the USLA National Lifeguard Championships in early August.
