Happy July 4th!

July 4th is also known as Independence Day in the United States. It marks the day in 1776 when the country declared its independence from Great Britain. On this day, the Founding Fathers signed the Declaration of Independence. Many people celebrate with fireworks, parades, and barbecues. Families often gather, and towns hold events like concerts or flag-raising ceremonies.

Our guards were able to gather for our 2nd Annual July 4th Lifeguard Breakfast, Recognition & Team Photo. You can never go wrong with a bacon, egg, and cheese—or sausage, egg, and cheese—sandwich.

Congratulations to Jackie and Sean on receiving their 10-year coin, honoring zero drownings under their tenure. Kudos as well to Charlie and Pat on earning their 20-year coin for the same outstanding achievement.

And of course, a special congratulations to our former chiefs, Kevin Kolar and Tim Delaney, on their remarkable 40- and 50-year coins—zero drownings under their tenure. Well done, all!
