NOW RECRUITING 2025 OCEAN AND STILLWATER LIFEGUARDS

Working as a lifeguard is both rewarding and demanding, offering valuable life skills such as leadership, decision-making, and a strong sense of public service. These qualities often stay with individuals long after the job ends. Suffolk County Parks recruits ocean and stillwater lifeguards annually, beginning the process each January. Lifeguards are hired to work at three popular beach locations: Smith Point, Cupsogue, and Meschutt. This seasonal role not only supports public safety but also provides an excellent opportunity for personal growth and responsibility in a dynamic environment. Becoming a lifeguard here is both a service to the community and a path to lifelong skills.
